During my childhood I became a sports fanatic of two teams that are completely opposite. A sports fanatic is a person who loves sports as an entertainment outlet and is highly interested in one or more sports team. My favorite basketball team is the Miami Heat and we have witnessed recent success throughout the years. The Jacksonville Jaguars are my favorite football team and they can't seem to get anything right. Although both teams are in a different sport, winning and losing still feels the same to a fanatic. The Miami Heat came into the NBA for the 1988 season with an unproductive first year, with a roster full of young players and washed up free agents. Jacksonville was the team nobody really knew about in my hometown. I talked and bragged about the Jaguars every single day. The newly franchise had everything in placed to succeed for the long run. The good coach and younger athletes turned that franchise into a contender. The Jaguars were seeing early success but the Miami Heat was slow to get there. The Miami Heat started to get on the right track in the mid 90’s.The Heat hired Pat Riley to be the Head Coach and General Manager. Pat was motivated to bring a championship to Miami, he traded veteran key players for young guys who was ready to prove themselves. After years of building in Miami, Pat finally put the right team together to make a run at a championship. I waited for this moment so long, years of losing seasons and embarrassment conversation with friends about the team I represents. By being a faithful fan of two totally different franchises, I've learned to deal with the good and bad. Over time the Miami Heat became one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NBA. The heat went on to win three championships over this timespan. The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't had much success since the late 90’s. I still believe everything will change for that organization soon. I’m tired of supporting a losing team with all my heart. The Jacksonville Jaguars made a slight improvement in terms of overall production in last season but they were still a pretty bad football
