My career choice is Medical Office Administrator. The reason I have chosen this career is because I have always wanted to work in the medical field but I never wanted to be hands on with the patients. After researching I learned more about this career I felt like it was all that I wanted. If high school graduates you can take courses at technical school or community college. They learn their skills doing job training that last to up a week. During that time they learn about administrative procedures and how to take care of patients’ information with coding. Even though certifications are not required, they can play a big roll to employers must have up to 2- 4 years of administrative work experience depending on their educational level. There are four important qualities that you should know while working in this career. The first is Integrity means to be trusted with patients information or files, second one is Interpersonal Skills that means to have good communications with clients, staff, and customers always have a positive attitude, third one is Organizational Skills meaning to keep all information together and nice, and the last one is Writing Skills meaning to send memos and emails to managers, staff, and customers to communicate. What they pay and Job outlook? The minimum wage annual is $17,500 in United States. Hourly pay is $8.56 in U.S. The reason the pay is big is large because most administrative work full time. The job outlook has many job openings are expected to come from the need to replace administrative assistants who quit their jobs. Those with many of the best work experience and experience using computer software applications to perform word processing and create spreadsheets should have the best job
