Achievements take time Maya Angelou once said “All great achievements require time.”. This has been proven time and time and time again, even in Angelou's own life was example of this. Maya had a hard childhood but she keeped working hard and never gave up, this helped become a civil rights activist, poet, author, and screenwriter. (Maya Angelou Biography) This also gave her the positive to see that she was not the only one who has been on a long jony.(Angelou’s) What the wright brothers, Steve Jobs and Serena WillIams all have in common is that there dreams did not come true overnight. In 1905 the Wright brothers built and flew the first completely working airplane. When it was thought it was impossible. However this did not happen overnight. It took countless tries and failures to finally get the first flight . It wasn't even done after one year. In fact it took two years to get it to be functional.(Wright Brothers). Two years is a long time for someone to work on a single invention. However they had a dream and nothing was going to change their mind.
