An unfortunate normality in modern American culture is mass shootings. When I first heard about the tragic shooting in Miami, Florida a few months ago, I was devastated to hear the news, but I was not surprised. It seems as if these mass shootings are ticking time bombs of inevitably. I remember when I was first old enough to comprehend the severity of these killings. I was about thirteen or fourteen years old in school when there was a mass shooting in Newton, Connecticut.
