Here is a brief explanation on what exactly the drug is. Marijuana is a psychoactive drug extracted from a dried herbal female flower and other parts of the plant Cannabis Sativa. It is also referred by several other names in a broader sense which include hashish, cannabis, bud, ganja among many others. For centuries marijuana has been used as a recreational drug in various parts of the world. According to the United Nations is mostly made up of a chemical compound known as tetrahydrocannabinol, commonly referred to as THC. Human’s consumption of the product pre-dates any historic records. It is not correct for me to point out marijuana as an illegal drug. In a few states and in our state of California, marijuana is legal for medical use. Upon a visit to a medical marijuana doctor, a person can receive a card to purchase marijuana to alleviate pain. It has been established that marijuana helps with nausea and vomiting, and anorexia. Cannabis is well confirmed in treating spasticity, painful conditions, movement disorders, asthma, and glaucoma. Marijuana has been proven to help bring troubled patients relief from painful, life changing diseases. When a cancer patient has to deal with vomiting from procedures, marijuana eases away the pain. When a patient with anorexia has trouble eating enough food to survive, marijuana brings them a much-needed appetite. These days a person does not have to look very far to see someone struggling to get by.
