Recommended: Importance of community service

Mandatory service to our country would be a good thing required for all its citizens. Although this is the land of the free, freedom was not won by standing idly and doing nothing. This great nation was forged and created by blood, sweat, and tears. This nation was was indeed not created by doing what we wanted. Many soldiers were drafted out, some younger than the age of 17 and had no say and many have fallen. It would be selfish to say that we can do what we want while others work hard and fight for our freedom, there for I say we must show appreciation to those who gave us " the right to pursue happiness" you may not have to join the military which is understandable but at the very least do some sort of community service, you may even
