Madeleine Albright wanted an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict. She contributed greatly to the “Madeleine’s War” and making negotiations between Israel and various Arab nations during her time as Secretary of State. She was considered as a peace-maker at the time. Madeleine was born on May 15, 1937 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. In 1993, she became the ambassador to the United nations. Shortly after, she was nominated to become the first woman of the United States Secretary of State in 1997. She was nominated by President Bill Clinton on December 5, 1996. It was then confirmed by the United States Senate the next year, January 22, 1997, soon she became the 64th secretary of state. In 1997, Albright was a major player in a peace mission to the Middle East. She did not like the fact that many innocent lives were killed, harmed, or stuck in concentration camps. Madeleine tried settling an Arab-Israeli peacemaking. Many responded to this by declaring war on peace and not understanding that forging peace and fighting terrorism are not similar. Madeleine also made it clear that Arab and Israeli had connections, for example, all the business that had once worked together to lay groundwork for trade. Without the peace, the societies will remain shackled by the negative events that happened in the past, the region will fall further behind in the global marketplace, and their children will grow up in an environment of uncertain feelings, danger, and fear. Madeleine stated that whatever she was negotiating are like suggestions because the Unites States is not a party to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
