Speaking as Macbeth’s defense attorney, it is my pleasure to represent this very important case. As the defendant stands here falsely accused of murdering King Duncan and taking the throne. To begin, no great man like Macbeth would commit such crime. Therefore, we ask of a verdict of not guilty.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, this case is about the powerful King of Scotland, and the strong noble man before everything, Macbeth. Let’s begin with the question that goes around everyone’s head, is Macbeth an evil murderer with a thirst for power or a victim of bad influence? Macbeth is certainly a victim of bad influence. Just as King Duncan used to call him a noble man, Lord Macbeth is introduced to us as a noble, highly respected man. Macbeth was always satisfied with the position he has reached, and he would never think about killing King Duncan. Macbeth is a victim of his wife and the supernatural witches. Greed rouses by the prophecies of the Supernatural Witches, as well as the encouragement of his wife, all of that combined together lead Macbeth to murder his friend, King Duncan.
