Even though they are classified as being insignificant, there are many actions they do, words they say, and problems they are a part of that make them have a bigger effect on the storyline than one might have thought. These small parts can affect and influence the entire outcome of the play, making what seems to be a joyful ending into one that nobody could have imagined. Through Duncan’s thoughts and actions he expresses to the reader that, we put unrealistic amounts of faith in people, pride in oneself can shadow over others, and that there are flaws in the way we see one another. Macbeth rejects conformation to traditional gender roles in its portrayal of Lady Macbeth’s relationship with her husband, her morals and their effect on her actions, and her hunger for power. Her regard for Macbeth is one of low respect and beratement, an uncommon and most likely socially unacceptable attitude for a wife to have towards her spouse at the time. She often ignores morality and acts for the benefit of her husband, and subsequently herself. She is also very power-hungry and lets nothing stand in the way of her success. He is easily tempted into murder to fulfill his ambitions to the throne, and once he commits his first crime and is crowned King of Scotland, he embarks on further atrocities with increasing ease. Poor judgment is evidenced by Duncan, who trusts Macbeth too much; Lady Macbeth, who is fooled by the witches; and Macbeth, who is tricked repeatedly by others.
Splendid Productions adaptation of ‘Macbeth’ was performed on the 13th of December 2016, at the RADA studios, London, and was performed by Scott Smith, Genevieve Say and Mark Bernie. The original version of Macbeth was written in 1606 during the Jacobean era, and the adaptation created in the 21st century. I would agree with the statement as the interpretation by Splendid was created to be enjoyed, engaged and relevant to the audience of the 21st century.
In Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Lady Macbeth is portrayed as a dark, conniving force, hindering Macbeth’s wishes to do well by the king and influencing his malicious conspiracies and actions taken towards King Duncan and his comrades. Lady Macbeth as the lady of Dunsinane is entitled to many things. This often gives her an unfair advantage on her actions that others would not have, it does not help that when Lady Macbeth is given the title of queen she is given more power to affect the life of the others around her. Whether Lady Macbeth is manipulating Macbeth into a murder plot of feeding into his sadistic killing spree there is no doubt about Lady Macbeth is an evil character.

Macbeth at the start, seems to be a respectable and trustworthy person who doesn't seem to be a person who would ruin peoples lives just to further his own. Even though he used to be good, he is altered by the influences of several people. For example, the three witches tell him a prophecy in which he is to become king, Lady Macbeth influences him to do bad things like killing King Duncan, and his own ambitions to become king. These examples have an effect on Macbeth, but in the end he is the one who causes the tragedy.

Macbeth stands among Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, showing the effect of power on an individual. His ultimate demise in the story’s resolution gives insight into what catalyzed the supposed events. Without a doubt, Macbeth had transformed from the hero to eventually the villain.
