Loyalty The quality of being loyal to someone or something is a choice of action that helps define loyalty as a person. Being loyal would be a person giving or showing continuous support to someone or something. Loyalty plays a major role in everyday life. Some people honor loyalty and some people couldn’t care less about having such a thing. Loyalty consists of working a marriage out, maintaining a good reputation, and keeping a steady job. According to Maurice Franks, “Loyalty cannot be blueprinted. It cannot be produced on an assembly line. In fact, it cannot be manufactured at all, for its origin is the human heart the center of self-respect and human dignity. Failure can cause trust issues and other problems in the future, when early attempts don’t work out. In Taylor Perry’s movie, “Temptation”, it was about a young woman and a young man who had been best friends since they were kids. As time went by, they started off dating and eventually got married. According to Tyler Perry, there was temptation at the young woman’s job. It was a young man who was rich and had his own company. Therefore, he wined and dined her for a while to show her another side of life. After falling for her client, the young woman left her husband. Once she started living with the client he had introduced her to drugs, he started abusing her, and gave her a disease she could never cure. Long story short, this is a brief example of what can happen when you stop being loyal.
