INTRODUCTION In this report, we have to create a website about the field of study such as Political science, International studies, Anthropology and Sociology in the Faculty of Social Science. The main purpose of the website is to attract using mainly high school students to study Social Science as a field choice in the future. In the website, we chose to use Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, Microsoft Project, Window Lives Movie Maker, Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Word. A website is a collection of web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that is applied on one or several web server (s), usually accessible via the internet, cell phone or a LAN. CONTENTS First of all, we need to make a new folder which is also called as local root folder that contains all of the components that make up our site. It is important because this is where Dreamweaver looks for all our files. Then, to create a new website from the scratch, we choose to use Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 with HTML 1.0 Transitional for our website. HTML 1.0 Transitional is developed by W3C as the reformulation of HTML4.0 as an application of eXtensible Markup Language (XML). It combines the formatting strengths of HTML 4.0 and the data structure and the extensibility strengths of XML. The coding for the language is stated as below: ... middle of paper ... ...d to do a project about creating a website, we were very excited about it. However, after we started working on this project we found it more complicated because all of the technology and terminology that goes into a website. The reason we chose this project is that we wondered how you get the web pages up and how we are able to view over the internet. We learned that it takes longer than expected and takes much more thinking when it comes to learning about website. This project enabled that we see that simple website can be complex because of all technical steps taken to make the website. In summary, we have learned a lot about the tasks of getting and making a website. By taking the steps to make a website, we were able to obtain a better understanding of a website. The Academic anthropology in the US rose together along with American imperialism, before the 1880s anthropology was basically called ethnology back then. Samuel Morton, Josiah Nott and Louis Agassiz helped to create the first school of anthropology in the nineteenth century, which was considered to be a big deal because not everyone was able to do this. In the nineteenth century colleges and organizations and journals , were established for anthropology. Universities and Smithsonian institution gave anthropology academic credentials as discipline in the US. the AAAS stands for American association for advancement science. The humanities are a broad multidisciplinary field of study where its disciplines aren’t in just one department. Therefore, studying the humanities correlates to the study of anthropology. Simply put, anthropology is the study of humanity and the origins of human beings. Learning about the humanities can help those studying anthropology because the humanities looks into understanding and exploring the human condition. There is an idea of culture that is used to describe what humans do. Anthropology explores what culture is, how it influences society, and why the idea of culture is important. Studying anthropology also looks into the various cultures around the world and the diversity that makes the human race. A basic concern for anthropologists is what defines human life and its origins. How has the evolutionary past of humans influenced the contemporary culture? Reading R. Crumb’s The Book of Genesis (Illustrated) opens doorways for studying anthropology because it looks into the history and beginning of humankind. Studying the humanities relates to the study of anthropology because the graphic novel The Book of Genesis depicts ancient human culture. Crumb’s 2009 graphic novel helps better understand today’s society and comprehend how humans live today.
What can anthropology contribute to our understanding of man? In 1966, Clifford Geertz set out to answer this question in his article, which was first published in the book New Views of the Nature of Man. While the question is still relevant, today it would likely be phrased in more gender-neutral terms. That said, his clear prose and Geertz’s keen assessment of state of his field alone make it a worthwhile read. At a time when anthropologists were still trying to come to terms with their fields’ problematic legacies of Evolutionism (43-4), Geertz’s text offers a refreshing insight into one of the most formative discussions of modern anthropology (an entail a critique of both cultural relativism and historicism (37?-42)).
The first thing most notable about this website was their sense of design. A black ebony background illuminated with old brush style text and decorative graphics, welcomes and invites the visitor to “Enter” their website. This particular idea is a very artistic way of getting people to interact with their website. It is studied that most people learn better by hands on interaction, instead of reading perhaps plain, boring text. The website is appealing and fairly easy to navigate within the various browsers....

Cultural anthropology examines different cultures and studies them in their native environments by observing or becoming part of each group to understand each culture from within. According to Crapo (2013), “Cultural Anthropology is the study of the similarity and diversity of human ways of life (cultures) and of the regularities in how culture functions” (sec. 1.1). When observing each culture neutrally from the outside in, is called an etic point of view and when experiencing the culture from within is referred to as an emic perspective. Emic narratives can be subjective and are explained by the culture experiencing it. In this paper, I will examine gender and the discrimination of women in my own culture from an outside or etic perspective,
