One primary long term goal that I have set for myself since freshman year was getting the best grades in high school and college to my own abilities. The way I reach this goal is that I use my time wisely in study halls or at home to get homework done. I work extremely hard in study halls to get as much homework done as I can because the less I take home the better because there are other things at home that I could be doing. Another one of my long term goals go to college for something i 'll enjoy doing for the rest of the life. If I go to college for a job that is not enjoyable than it could miserable going to work everyday. If you find a job that you enjoy you’ll never have to work a day in your life. I also try setting short term goals for myself that are not to difficult to accomplish so that I know in my head that they can be accomplished so I strive harder to achieve the goal. My short term goals can vary on how long I expect me to accomplish …show more content…
I give back to others and the community by being involved in a lot of different groups. Being involved with FFA we take time and do community projects that people ask us to do for them. We have put in concrete driveways and sidewalks for different people in the community and they always have great things to say about our work. Another thing I help with by being a part of FFA that has done for the community is that we have cleaned up the local park’s basketball/tennis court when it flooded and the court had a lot of mud, rocks, and sticks all over the court. One other thing we have done in FFA is varnish the cabins in the local park. Last year we also helped out with the new daycare they were setting up for the community, we helped build the parking lot and put the fence in around the daycare. Also, to help out the community our baseball team have helped out put up flags with in the cemetery for memorial day. I have helped out with the community easter egg hunt by hiding eggs for the younger kids to go and find
I help out my family and community in several ways. I have volunteered to help coach cheerleading at Jefferson Elementary School everyday after school. I work at Mattoon Academy of Gymnastics and coach several classes and their gymnastics team. I also work in my church's nursery on Sundays. Being a role model for all of the kids I coach and take care of means a lot to me because they look up to me and want to follow in my footsteps. Despite my busy schedule, I try to help out in the community and with my family as much as
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
I have tried to make both my school and my community a better place. I participate in a few group that try and help to better the community. First off, I am in National Honors Society. I volunteer with group activities and other volunteering opportunities such as unpaid elementary math tutoring. Second, I am almost finished my Eagle Scout Project, and this requires a lasting impression on your community. My project is about music and its effect on the elderly, and relating it to memory disorders, in hopes of improving their way of life. Third, most of my volunteering in the community is independent of an organization. I volunteer my violin skills to a group in need or a couple who does not have the money to pay some musicians. I donate my time
My short term goals academically is to pass all my classes this first semester, and my short term goal professionally is to just continue with my current job of working at target. I work at target 5 days a week and about 35 hours a week. My long term goals academically are to major in criminal justice, and my long term goal professionally is to become a DEA agent.
1. How do you proactively engage in your own education beyond class time and requirements? If this has not been part of your practice so far, explain why you want to be involved in this major when this is going to be asked of you.
A goal I achieved was when I graduated from high school many years ago. I was the first one in my family to graduate from high school. It was a big accomplishment for me and my mom. Graduating was my goal. I wanted to make my mom proud, life happens I couldn't go to college then but I told myself one day I will full field my dream to have a career. I meet my career advisor at a job fair and am here enrolled to be a medical assistant. My new goal is to work real hard to get the best grades I can possibly get and to have perfect attendance at the end off the medical assistant program. Am going use my time wisely, get all my work done in time and ask for help if I don't understand something.
I have now worked as a futbol referee for about two years. I am known fairly well by my game assignor, who has a manager like role for us referees. Though I initially became involved due to my brother becoming involved before me, as he moved on to other leagues, I stayed with the local teams from ages six to around 14. During the games that I would officiate, there often would me minor injuries and parent interferences in the game. In one of my most unexpectedly serious games, I had to disperse a crowd of adults in the midst of a U8 recreational soccer game. This game was at the end of the season; so I only expected a simple game of children chasing the ball, not really even kicking it. However, during the game, one of the coaches on the side
I can also make a difference in the community where I live. Last year my class held a car wash to raise money for the Animal Shelter. We went to visit the dogs there and I realized that the money we raised made a difference for some of them.
Ever since we enter grade school, the same questions are always asked of us. “What do you wanna be when you grow up?” that same question then matures to “ what are you going to major in?” etc.. The question that needs to be asked is how are you going to get where you want to be. It involves a lot of planning, dedication and effort to get somewhere that worthwhile. Most importantly effort is needed to accomplish any of these goals. My first present goal Is to do my best and put all my effort into the classes i 'm enrolled in this year. Get the most out of the classes as I can. My second goal is to really be open to new experiences and keep an open mind for everything and enjoy life and live a little. My third goal is to achieve financial freedom not in
Goals may include daily short-term achievements or long-term success; nonetheless, goals continue to keep people striving for what they want to accomplish. I create daily goals along with my ongoing list of long-term goals that keep me motivated for my future. I have held the same goals for nineteen years now, and they revolve around who I wish to become. Goals never disappear; once achieved, a new set of goals emerges. For now, working on my teaching career and becoming a well-rounded adult holds the top priority of my goals.
Giving back to my community is so engaging to me, to meet different people around my community, helping out with clean ups or events such as the christmas parade, mayor reception, fall festive, etc. putting smiles on people's faces to hear people compliment you about what you're doing out here I was able to get out and engaged within my community thanks to my organization called R.O.C.K. which stands for recusing our community with knowledge.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
When planning for our future it is important to have clear goals in mind and to understand the steps that need to be taken to achieve those goals. My long-term goal is to run my own counseling center and employee at least one other person. Some Skills I already possess that will allow me to succeed with this plan are my ability to relate to people and be consistent in following the steps needed, even though it will be a long and tedious process.
This year, I had the opportunity to give back to the community in many ways. I volunteered at Helping Hands, Meals on Wheels, and the county Science Museum. These volunteering experiences further opened my eyes to the needs of my community and the many opportunities to serve by volunteering.
A person needs to achieve certain goals in one's life before you can call them successful. Success is to achieve goals, you have set. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. My professional goals in life are to find a good job that makes me happy, get a good education, find a job that makes enough money for me to support my family, and help people. Goals it is very important for me to receive a good education. Most job fields require a descent education. If I don't have an education I would not be able to function properly at the work place and I would not understand what to do. To maintain a good job that will make good money will require me to go thorough schooling or training and maybe even both. Education is the first and foremost way to become successful, because the job I will choose will need me go to school and maybe even beyond college. My happiness in what I do is also a goal for me I my life. There is no way someone can become successful if they are not happy with what they are doing. ...
