An abundant life is a life that everyone has the ability to live. Every person regardless of his or her disabilities, race, culture, affect, or geological location is able to live an abundant life. The meaning of an abundant life put simply is to truly love oneself. If a person can truly live out these seven components, they truly love themselves, and therefore they are living an abundant life.
The seven essential components of living an abundant are: the ability to experience joy, the ability to be resilient, the ability to give love others, the ability to receive love from others, the ability to feel emotions, the possession of passion, and an adequate amount of sleep. These seven components are vital to living the abundant life, but they do not work in isolation from each other. It is very important for the components to work together. These elements are shown in the attached picture of gears. At some points throughout a person’s life, one of the gears might stop spinning for a while due to various circumstances, but as long as the other gears are spinning, the whole system will keep functioning. A person who isn’t living abundant life will have a system of gears that isn’t moving at all or moving very slowly.
The Ability to Experience Joy
The first component essential to living an abundant life is the ability to feel joy. Joy is an experience of wellbeing in a person’s life. Joy is in some cases something that a person has no control of feeling, but in many cases it is an experience that reinforces positive behavior. Therefore by experiencing joy, a person is more likely to do positive things for themselves and for others. Joy is the basis of many of the positive aspects of life as Abraham Hicks states, "If you woul...

True Happiness in The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut and Hans Weingartner's The Eduakators
Many live attempting to decipher the riddle of life. What is life? What is the purpose? What makes? Even though we only seek happiness why can’t we ever seem to achieve it? When we do reach happiness why can’t we seem to grasp it and hold it for more than the few short hours that pass like seconds? The question we must answer first is “What makes happiness, true?”
Chronic sleep loss is becoming more common in modern culture and less restricted to sleep-deprived diseases such as insomnia. Suggested to be the result of a number car, industrial, medical, and other occupational accidents, sleep deprivation is beginning to be recognized as a public concern. As a result, the Centers for Disease Control

It should be noted that the findings of this report are limited by the current knowledge available. As such public awareness of sleep deprivation and the science of sleep must be raised so that sleeping disorders such as sleep deprivation may be completely understood and treated.
In conclusion, humankind is blessed with life as God created it. One must reflect on their actions throughout life because one will be judged by God in the next life, one must see the importance of gasping liberation, and one must have a loving and open heart when helping the poor. Life should be lived to its fullest because once time is lost, it cannot be regained; life needs to be appreciated.
Life is not merely something that we experience outwardly. It can be an awakening to imagination, emotion, and true virtue. As we experience feelings in the way Puddleglum lived, believing in something so profound and so realistic that no apathy or emptiness could ever dissuade him, we can learn to live a life worth continuing. Keeping our eyes on that which is not fleeting or passing away, we can learn to feel more and with purpose. As 1 John 2:17 declares, “And the world is passing away with all its desires, but the person who does the will of God remains
Sleep deprivation has become a major problem with Americans. Over 100 million Americans today suffer from lack of sleep. This has been an ongoing problem throughout the centuries. People owe their bodies sleep and scientist are calling it a “Sleep debt”. An average American owes their body at least thirty hours of sleep. This lack of sleep is as hazardous as drunk driving.
We might not have the same opinions, paths, and ways of living; but we all, millions of people around the world, share the same purpose of life: Being able to say “I am having a good life!” What we mean by “good life” is living in pure happiness and having a wonderful peace of mind. The difference between us is that each one of us chooses a different way in his pursuit of happiness. Some find it in stability with a big house, a family, and a good paying job. Some find it in adventure and wildness, travel, and taking risks. While others don’t really have specific criteria or an organized plan, they just believe that happiness comes with living each day as if it was the last, with no worries about the rest. Personally, I find it in trying to be the best version of myself, in staying true to my principles, and in the same time in being able to make my own decisions; which reminds me of what George Loewenstein said “Just because we figure out that X makes people happy and they're choosing Y, we don't want to impose X on them.”
One of the most common and detrimental issues that the world battles does not have to be something as violent as war or as radical as drug abuse, it is in fact, sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation can cause serious damage to almost every aspect of the human body and mind, but is often overlooked in the big scheme of things because of its seemingly unimportance in modern society. Those who run off of five hours of sleep each night are praised for their hardworking efforts, while those who achieve a full nights rest and sleep in are considered lazy and irresponsible. The truth is, the world needs to be educated on the causes, and more importantly, the effects of sleep deprivation so they can be aware of how negatively not getting enough sleep affects them.

Important public policy issues have arisen in our modern 24-hour society, where it is crucial to weigh the value of sleep versus wakefulness. Scientific knowledge about sleep is currently insufficient to resolve the political and academic debates raging about how much and when people should sleep. These issues affect almost everybody, from the shift worker to the international traveler, from the physician to the policy maker, from the anthropologist to the student preparing for an exam.

...he physical, social and economic prices to seeking and obtaining the good life can drive us to abandon our search and leave us under the control of our circumstances, good or bad. Despite the costs of living the good life it is important to keep true to one’s beliefs. The costs are only temporary and minor in relation to the benefits of achieving the good life. The values that we hold form our identity and to against our values would be to contradict ourselves. In order to enjoy the good life we as individuals must know our inner selves and become one with it.
There are many different levels of happiness that range from simple to the extremity of pure happiness, and this is what I try to gain in my life. Pure happiness is not a short feel good moment that is experienced for a few moments, but it is an everyday acceptance of who I am and what I have in life. Happiness is the ability to accept the good and the bad, as two parts of a whole. I strive to achieve this full potential of happiness in my life because happiness is a beautiful thing and I would not want to live life without
