Additionally, livestock workers lack quality performance and should be adequately trained to better understand the pros and cons of working with farm animals. One way of improving this issue is by providing successful training techniques of teaching others to have knowledge of animal early on. “If the caretaker knows his or her animals normal behavior, then the early stages of a health problem will be recognized and can be treated earlier” (Dr. Lyle G. McNeal). This example shows that the worker should practice knowing the animal in order to appropriately engage and detect initial issues. Plus, this technique will allow livestock workers to be more cautious, detailed and attentive of treating animals. More than that, it will help them to attain animal behavior and avoid use of force when it is unnecessary. …show more content…

Dr. Lyle G. McNeal also stated, “I’ve always felt strongly that when we take on the responsibility of raising and rearing any specie of farm animal, we take on burdens similar to having children.” As one is caring for farm animals, they should be able to comprehend the complications and amount of patience that is required. Dr. Lyle’s comment was reflected on an example that was relatable to humans. Childrens can become a burden but we are still able to manage it to the best that we can, which is why animals deserve the same. It has been argued that workers should be adequately trained to understand the pro and cons of animals by knowing them in order to detect issues from early on. However, in what ways will a livestock worker be able to know the animal to ensure a healthy care? This argument leads to the problem that specific education on animal trainings will prepare oneself for a livestock occupation of fulfilling animal
