Everyone should set goals for themselves so that they constantly have something to work for. You use short term goals to help you achieve things that need to be done in order for you to attain a long term goal. You must “Begin with the end in mind,” as Stephen Covey wrote. My goals often change as they become more challenging, but I never lose focus of my lifetime goals. Everything I do now, whether success or failure, prepared me for what is next on this journey to the finish line. My most recent short term goals I have set for myself have all of these factors woven into them with one vision in mind.
My lifetime goals consist of achieving my career in teaching, making a difference with my career and to keep striving for advancement even after my educational years are over. One of the most important lifetime goals I have, however, is to make sure my family is taken care of financially. I will be successful and provide for my family the way I wished someone would have while I was growing up. I won’t get there just by wishing, of course. I know that all the hard work and determination will pay off when I have my long dreamed of career of being a teacher and being the main bread winner of the house.

I remember looking back at being a freshman and telling myself I wanted to be at the top of the class. I set those small short term goals such as to take all advanced measure courses and to retain straight A’s on my report card. Every year I started new, but kept the same vision. I focused strictly on school and three years later, I am currently ranked second in the class. The long term goal I had then and viewed as years away has already become a reality. I want to continue that chain by working to pay for college, succeed and graduate with my degree. The short term goals I have set for myself will guide me
I have been blessed with a great life so far that has given me a great opportunity for education and I want to continue to pay back the debt that I owe for an opportunity like this. I feel that I will perpetually be in a field of service helping those who have little opportunity and access to help themselves.
My short and long-term goals are mainly focused towards bettering myself and enhancing my education to be able to better care for people. I believe there is always room for improvement in everything that we do and one should always keep that in
Life has no meaning without goals. In order to succeed setting goal is very important. Without setting goals there would be nothing to look forward to, or even have anything to achieve. Goals are a vital aspect of our lives. It gives a sense of self-confidence. I believe without goals life would just be a plain and no excitement at all. Long-term and short-term goals are intertwined and work similarly to build a house from ground up. I vision myself become a radiologist within the next three to five years. This is my present long-term goal. To achieve my long term goal I have two short term goals, first to get good grades in prerequisites courses and second to complete my grad school program with "A" grade minimum, because graduating with good grades is the stepping stone for my long-term goal.
As far as my goals go I have set three short term goals, three mid term goals and three long term goals. One short term goal I have established in order to prepare for my future is to become more familiar about marine biology through reading articles
My short-term goals will be completed throughout High School. I am taking a lot of Mathematical classes in High School, this year I am taking Statistics and Business Math. Next year I will either take Calculus or Precalculus. I like taking math courses because there is a lot of math in anyone's life time. Also my career choices require a lot of math, most classes they like to see I have already taken. I plan to get high grades in all of my classes so Colleges will take me seriously. One of my favorite classes is Statistics and I have a decent grade in it too. My activities at school include being in the Woodshop Club. It is very enjoyable for me and I hope to do more in woodworking as I grow older as a hobby. Activities outside of school include mainly Boy Scouts and work. I plan to get my Eagle Scout rank and I might go on to get Eagle Palms. I work as a Concrete laborer and I also do some finishing, it is a very
To start of my first goal is to graduate high school with a 3.5 GPA or higher. I plan on doing this by turning in all assignments on time and good quality work. My next goal is to graduate
My short term goals academically is to pass all my classes this first semester, and my short term goal professionally is to just continue with my current job of working at target. I work at target 5 days a week and about 35 hours a week. My long term goals academically are to major in criminal justice, and my long term goal professionally is to become a DEA agent.
One goal that I work hard at daily is to try to do well in high school. I try to involve myself in any activity that I can, both academically and socially, so that I can graduate with honors. The reason why I do this is because I plan on going to college, and I would like to be able to get accepted into any school that I apply to. Going to college alone would be a major achievement for my family and I, because I will be the first person in my family to attend college. Immediately after I graduate, I want to start my career as police investigator/detective.
The best way to carry out long-term goals is to set many small goals. Long-term goals are easy to become strenuous and taxing. Losing motivation or drive can often cause a goal to never be reached. Setting several short-term goals within a long-term goal creates an easier path to the next goal.
My main goal I aspire to reach would definitely be to help my parents with financial stability after earning my degree and an
I made another goal for myself because I could not grasp the college life. This goal was to gain study habits and work extremely hard to pass my classes. I have always had high expectations for myself because I have always wanted to become a better person for not only myself, but my mother and younger brother as well. When I wasn’t passing two of my classes it was devastating, so I had to find ways that worked for me and could help me succeed
I want to be the best I can be so that one day I can do the same for my children. In all, I think what describe my long term goals would be to get my Bachelors degree. Once I get my bachelor’s degree, I hope I can either continue with my education and get a master’s degree or use my bachelor’s degree to achieve great things. I really want to experience everything that I can. I never want to regret something that was worth trying.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
Goal setting is key in motivation; goals need to be clear, sharp, and realistic. To make these feel more achievable it is better to break these down into smaller medium-term goals and medium-term goals into short-term goals so that you have a clear connection between what one does every day and their long-term goals.
In setting a goal, you set up a grand goal and then you break it down into smaller goals. This helps you to further monitor your progress on a smaller scale and helps you stay motivated and focused because each time you achieve one of the smaller goals, it keeps you inspired to achieve the grand goal. Set goals that are definite with a well-known target to achieve, always giving yourself a specific time-stamped to achieve your goals. However, ensure that your goals and time lines set are realistic otherwise you will end frustrated chasing castles in the
