Leonardo da Vinci lived throughout the Italian Renaissance he was born on the 15 April 1452 and died on the 2 May 1519. This male figure had many skills to his trade but his most famous attribute and what he is most recognized for in the modern era is his artwork and his powerful paintings. Throughout his famous life Leonardo was also given many other talents these consisted off a mathematician, an engineer, an inventor, an anatomist, a sculptor, an architect, a botanist, a musician and a writer. Leonardo was very much looked upon as a role model throughout his life and still is now throughout the art world. Many people would say that Leonardo was one of the best painters of all time if not the best.
Leonardo started painting as a young boy and his father could see his talent for art especially because he was still at a very young age. Leonardo and his father who was named Ser Piero da Vinci travelled to Florence there was only one real reason for this so Leonardo could be an apprentice to the artist Verrocchio. Throughout this time Leonardo would have learnt all of his techniques and styles from his role models. The role models that would have entered this workshop at the time would have been the well-known painters such as Domenico Ghirlandaio, Perugino, Botticelli and many more. The techniques that Leonardo would have learnt and been put through are chemistry, sculpting modelling and many more. These would have added to his knowledge and would have enhanced his paintings throughout his career. Throughout his teenage years Leonardo was attached to Verrocchio’s side and even through his art work, they would collaborate with certain pieces of these included The Baptism of Christ and the Archangel Raphael. ...of all time, Leonardo also stayed with the high power families of the Italian country this shows that Leonardo would have been a very wealthy man not just through his fantastic paintings but through all the work he constructed and designed throughout his life.
Throughout the research of this essay I have learnt many things that I did not know about the great Leonardo Da Vinci. His work is still very important to the world today not just for teaching and showing the public but for the facts and the amazing tales throughout the time of his life and what this great painter and person achieved with his passion throughout his life. Leonardo Da Vinci will live on through his paint work for years to come. After all he has the most well-known painting still on display in Paris and his work is still being studied today by college and graduate students all over the world.
