Rimes says one of her greatest accomplishments was the song, This Woman. “Rimes got 1996 Best New Artist Grammy that a country musician has never achieved before” (“LeAnn Rimes”). Cline would tragically die in a plane crash leaving Lynn heartbroken and lost with no one there to help her. Rachel Dein is a London Based artist, who studied Fine Arts at Middlesex University . She is most famously known for her tiles made of cement and plaster featuring molds of flowers. She currently runs and owns the Tactile Studio in North London to support herself and her three children. Before setting up her own studio, but after going to art school, she decided to take up an apprenticeship at The Royal Opera House and later branched out to other theaters to continue her prop making career including The English National Opera, The West End Theaters, London Transport Museum and Selfridges Christmas windows. Her time in prop making allowed her to explore her love of theatre, film, and opera while expanding her knowledge of 3d design. She also enjoys gardening, which is where she has gotten some of the materials for her craft.

When I think of the word artist, I think of someone who is innovative, original and someone who has style and a sound all their own. One artist that comes to mind is Janet Jackson. Aretha Franklin is a well known pop, R&B, and gospel singer. She has been nicknamed “The Queen of Soul” and is an internationally known artist and a symbol of pride in the African American community. Her popularity soared in 1967 when she released an album containing songs “I Never Loved a Man”, “Respect”, and “Baby I Love You.” Throughout her career she has achieved fifteen Grammy Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award, National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Legend Awards, and many Grammy Hall of Fame Awards. In 1987 she became the first woman inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Time magazine chose her as one of the most influential artists and entertainers of the 20th century. She sang at Dr. Martin Luther King’s funeral and at former President Bill Clinton’s inaugural party. Although she has all these accomplishments and awards there are other reasons that have driven Franklin to fame and landed her on the front cover of Time magazine on June 28, 1968. The reasons I believe allowed Aretha Franklin to become so successful are the following: Her family’s involvement with religion, the inspiring people that surrounded her, and the pain she suffered.
Whitney Houston is considered to be a legendary singer in the world today. Houston was not just a singer, she was an actress, producer, and model. Even though she is known for her singing voice, Whitney Houston had many ups and downs throughout her life, such as drug and health problems that almost ended her career. Throughout her singing career, she has been honored for her great singing voice. Whitney experienced many things in her personal life from being an outstanding woman, an award winning singer, and an actress and model.
We all admire the currently famous singer Meghan Trainor, but do you know her life story? Well, I’m going to tell you. She is inspired by everybody by her amazing songs. That woman has a strong ambition for singing. Obviously, she has of course written many songs. In fact, by the time she was eighteen she had written three albums! Her top two hits are “Lips are Moving” and “All about that Bass”. I chose Meghan Trainor for my project because I love her awesome songs. We will learn more about Trainor as we go along.

In conclusion, she is a very good role model. She is a good role model because she shows people it is good to give to charity and she is a hard worker. She also shows that you don’t need to have inappropriate songs or inappropriate performances to be popular. This is why she is my favorite superstar and I wanted to write a research paper on her.
