Leadership is never handed out to any customary person for showing up, or doing what is asked by their boss. Ambitious and charismatic people are usually over achievers in the today's society. Many characters in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, written by William Shakespeare. The political and social leaders of Rome show a tremendous amount of charisma in many of their main speeches; persuading and moving people onto their side. Many leaders in the nation today have charisma as well; even though some may use it in a negative way many still have it. Charisma is needed to be successful leader in the world today and was required in the capital of Rome to change the minds of many commoners during The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. was one of the most charismatic and people loving people to ever walk this side of the Earth is charismatic. He was able to bring people together in a unique way with peace, passion, and fondness. A very well-known speech of MLK Jr. is I Have a Dream. This speech interacts with the crowd showing freedom and justice together to end racism in the United States in 1963. Making the speech person and using his own life to make everyone touched: he brings his children into the speech. Luther states, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” (Martin Luther King Jr.) Being able to make people feel what is being said is a skill not most have. Millions of people followed him because of the way he was able to speak through them instead of at them. He’s charisma with people built bonds that won them the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960’s. Brutus a military leading and a well-rounded man that is loved by all in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. He is neutral between both sides, until Cassius lures him into the conspirators. Brutus is all for doing what is good for Rome; this including killing Caesar even though he loved him dearly. After the killing Brutus rushes out of the capitol building and into the streets to tell the commoners his point of view on why they killed Caesar. Brutus says, “I slew my best lover for the good of Rome, I have the same dagger for myself” (Act III Sc ii Line 45-47). All of the commoners that were angry after the conspirators killed Julius Caesar; are now on Brutus’ side after he tells them that they did it not to take over or show that he was a bad man, it was for the good of Rome. He was able to lead a group on a mission and make all of the big decisions that a leader should make.
