I was sitting in the Hyatt hotel waiting for my limo to arrive. Sweaty palms and repetitive questions ran through my mind like water. What was I going to say?, How was I going to react?. Anxiety and happiness filled the adrenaline in my veins. The limo arrived around 6:00pm. My meet and greet was at 7. Rehearsed lines and made up scenarios filled up the car. The limo parked and I was escorted into the venue. My heart was fluttering and I was short of breath. The escort brought me into a tiny room filled with candy and child like scenery. I stood there for a good ten minute’s until I heard a woman’s voice peep through the curtains. Katy stood at about 5’7 where a very theatrical costume. We exchanged a few handshakes and smiles, until suddenly all my words flew out. I was fortunate enough to spend twenty minutes with her. I purged out all my feelings and how much of an impact she’s had in my life. Katy made me feel at home that day. I knew from the moment I had left, that I would NEVER forget that
