Julia Alvarez in the short story, Liberty, depicts that a little girl whose family killed the Dictator of the Dominican Republic his name was Rafael Trujillo's. Alvarez doesn't really ever denied this story's truth and she doesn’t really say it's true. The author's point of this video is to show the audience about the things some people will do to get into the United States of America. The author speaks in an informative tone for the audience to hear her and understands what she is saying. This story should be taught as an autobiography because the story itself is true. Liberty has an abounding amount of mystery to the whole thing. If this story was fake many things would not add up without any information from happens in real life. For example, on page 57 the narrator realizes that “inside the clearing, I stopped short. Although we don’t know much about Rafael Trujillo there are some things that we will need to know to fully understand this story. In BBC.com’s article “I shot the cruelest dictator in the Americas” they state that “Rafael Trujillo's rule is considered one of the most brutal periods in the history of the Dominican Republic.” This means that many people had good reasons for wanting to kill Trujillo. We learned that “during his additional years in office, Trujillo continued to use his power for personal profit” (Biography.com, “Rafael Trujillo”). Which no dictator should ever do because when you are a dictator you are there to help the union and the people you are not there to make a profit for yourself. In wikipedia.com’s article “Rafael Trujillo” they say, “Trujillo received more votes than actual voter.” Meaning that the whole election was rigged for Rafael Trujillo to win the election and become the
