Ignorance is not bliss Utilitarianism is a philosophical theory that explains whether a moral is good or bad;our actions affects not only to oneself but to others. Mill explains that pleasure is the absence of pain.The reason we do anything in life is to avoid pain. Also Mill interpret utilitarianism to be “Actions are right in proportion as they tend to promote happiness”. Increasing the amount happiness produce greater happiness and reducing negative consequences to all.
I agree with Mill’s statement,”no intelligent human being would consent to be a fool”(57,Mill). No average person will want to be reduced to an animal in order to be more comfortable.Yes an animal don't have stress or responsibility but we have capability to reduce
