Inevitably, there is no way to validate the claims of Jediism. This covers epistemology; yet another component of religion. It is defined by Basic Characteristics of Religion as, “[referring] generally to the problem of knowledge” (Characteristics of Religion, paragraph 3). Within a religion, there is a criteria of truth. Though a it appears improbable, a religion comes from some form of fact nonetheless. Jediism has records, a lot of them in fact, but one problem stands in its way: it is derived from a set of fictional movies by George Lucas. All through the series “The Force” is referenced to as a delicate balance that needs to be kept in order.     In the Light of Reverence is a film about the destruction and exploitation of the sacred lands of the people who have worshipped them for years: the Native Americans. Freedom of religion is something Americans take pride in. However, many religions are still looked down upon for their practices which is displayed clearly in this film. It upsets me greatly to hear how ignorant many people are about the Native American religion. The use of story telling is important as the stories are often based on accounts of history or documents that have been found.     Buddhism can be indirectly defined by using Ninian Smart’s Seven Dimensions of Religion. Ninian Smart pioneered the idea of secular religious study (Ninian Smart). Initially, there was six dimensions, but in 1998, he updated the list to seven (Smart, Blackboard, Religion 100).
