During the 2004 election for the North Carolina Fifth District, a politician had earned the support of an influential lobbyist. Jay Helvey appealed to the conservative heart, concerned soul, and the empty wallet of North Carolinians. Due to the entrancing values held by this man, he was able to sway the support of a powerful campaign official. His influence over my life during the following months was profound to the point of causing me to speak out. However, contrary my political beliefs may be to some in this country, these ideas have brought me a small amount of fame. I filled the heads of my family, friends, and random pedestrians, with pro-Helvey Propaganda. It became my goal to force the people of the fifth congressional district to vote for Jay Helvey. However heretic it may have been, Jay Helvey was opposed. My life mission became dishonoring the evil old hag that dared to run against the mighty soldier that is Jay Helvey. If I saw a potential voter on the streets, propaganda spewed from my mouth and into the hearts of my audience. I also spread slander, lies, and factual information that would ravage the reputation of Virginia Foxx. I was willing to do anything to destroy Virginia Foxx. On a blithe Sunday morning at Purlear Baptist Church, I again addressed the congregation in a desperate outcry for support. My speech was not long, yet I managed to inform the congregation about Mrs. Foxx’s lack of proper hygiene by stating that she, “didn't wash her lower extremities correctly”; I also managed to report that that Mrs. Foxx was, “lacking adequate intelligence.” Needless to say, my Advisors were infuriated with my actions, but the consequences were miniscule in comparison to the evil that sat in
