I was about six years old and I didn’t understand a thing when my mother had first told me about it. I remember her and father talking about the spread of communism a lot at breakfast.” “I remember when I first read in the newspaper that Joseph Stalin, after all those years of being dictator, had died. I remember thinking about all those Russians who were mass murdered, and how unstable his army was.
