Is Christianity Still Relevant Today

Today’s world revolves around a variety of groups and a mixture of diverse beliefs and faith systems. Christianity is a widely practiced belief that is central to many people’s lives all around the world. Followers of this religion call themselves “Christians”. While there are many kinds of Christians, the primary focus is the belief in Jesus Christ, his teachings, and events around his life and death. Christianity is founded on a set of key ideals, of which a few the stand out are the belief in the existence of God, that He is one and incomprehensible, that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and that Jesus Christ is hope.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.”
John 3:16-17
He was sent to the world as a man to suffer for mankind’s sins. The Gospel of Luke states,
“… Thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached in his name…” Luke 24:46-47
He fulfilled the role as the Messiah as a way for salvation for all.
While His time on earth was short, he achieved the prophecies depicted. Christians recite these prophetic expressions in the Apostles Creed. This prayer recited at every mass and when the rosary is prayed. This is done as a show of faith and acceptance that Jesus is the Messiah:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate, as crucified, died, and was buried;

Christians believe in His second coming, Judgement Day, when all will be judged and those that believe and have faith in Him will return with Him to heaven for life everlasting.
“For just as the Father raises the dead and gives life, so also does the Son give life to whomever he wishes. Nor does the Father judge anyone, but he has given all judgement to his Son, so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father who sent him… I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and will not come to condemnation, but has passed from death to life.”
