Investigating the Relationship Between Humerus Length and Height of Human Beings
In order to investigate the relationship between humerus length and
height of human beings, I collected the data of each person’s height
and their humerus length (including me) in my class and created 2
scatter plots to study the relation between the 2 variables.
Process of getting data
Firstly, one of my tallest person in my class measured 5-6 people’s
height with a ruler, then someone exchanged his position. The person
who measured people’s height kept changing until the whole class knew
everyone’s height in the class. Then, people measured their own
humerus length using flexible rulers and told other people their
humerus length.
Creating scatter plots
After I got the data, I created the following two tables in order to
draw the scatter plots:

“The purpose of a doctor or any human in general should not be to simply delay the death of a patient, but to increase the person’s quality of life.” Orthopedic surgeons treat a number of conditions that affect the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and nerves. The training to become an orthopedic surgeon requires multiple years of hard work and studying, but in the end, the success is worth all the stress and struggle experienced on the way. Most doctors must dedicate every fiber of their being, countless hours of work, and years of stress in their chosen profession. Medicine is only for those who can’t imagine doing anything else.
The collarbone is a big doubly curved long bone that joins the arm to the trunk of the body.Based directly above the first rib it keeps the scapula in place so that the arm can hang freely.
The skeletal system helps with endocrine regulation, protection, support, movement, calcium storage, and blood cell production. The skeletal system consists of 206 bones, in the adult human body, all of which are divided into two major divisions. One division, the axial skeleton made up from 80 bones, runs along the body’s midline and the other division, the appendicular skeleton which has 126 bones.
The skeletal system is made of all the bones, connective tissues and joints in the body. Bones, cartilage are some of the bones that make up the Skeletal system. The Skeletal system helps perform important everyday functions, for example; support, movement and protection, etc. The skeletal system helps form blood cells. The skeletal system helps store calcium and phosphorus, which is important and beneficial to the other functions in the body.
Limb lengthening surgery has come a long way since the days of the first procedures that took place in the early 1950's. What a ground-breaking idea it was to lengthen limbs. This surgery meant freedom for people who were afflicted with crippling disabilities. Healthy People are a nationwide program set by the United States Department of Health and Human Services with the objectives to promote health and prevent disease. The Healthy People program was first initiated in 1979, followed by Healthy People 1990, 2000 and 2010 with the same goals and objectives to promote health and prevent diseases. Due to the accomplishments that has been achieved in the previous years under this program, the Healthy People 2020 expanded or rather broadened their goals and objectives beyond disease prevention, health promotion and reducing health disparities, but to also eliminate healthcare disparities that has plagued this nation by the year 2020. The governing body, the United States Department of Health and Human Services is responsible for coordinating this program; track the progress of these objectives so as to improve the health of the population. Among the various goals set by this body, only three will be discussed in this paper to gain more insight as to what it entails. These include health equity to improve the health of all groups; social and physical environments that promote good health; and to promote quality of life, healthy development and healthy behavior across life stages.

The skeletal system is composed of two hundred and six bones in the human body. Functions such as the tendons, cartilage, and ligaments connect the bones and tissues together. Bone tissues make up about 18% of the weight of the human body. There are two types of tissue inside the bones. They consist of; compact bone and spongy bone. First, compact bone depicts the main shaft of long bones in the human body such as the arms and legs. Its tissue is dense and hard and it also makes up the outer layer of most bones in our body. Meanwhile, spongy bone tissue is made up of smaller plates occupied with red bone marrow. Mostly, it is found at the ends of long bones such as the head of the femur.

Anatomy is the study of body structures of humans, animals, and other living organisms. There are different types of anatomy like human anatomy, zootomy anatomy (animal), and phytotomy anatomy (plant) (Nordqvist, Christian, “What Is Anatomy?”). Students who plan to become part of the medical field are required to take anatomy along with biochemistry. Biochemistry is the study of chemical reactions inside the body. Doctors, pharmacists, and physicians are required to take many other biology and chemistry classes, but anatomy and biochemistry are the two major subjects studied to join the medical field. Without these courses a doctor, a pharmacist, or a physician would not know the basics of a human structure, the reactions and acids inside a human’s body. To become part of the medical field it is mandatory to study anatomy and have knowledge of each of the systems along with biochemistry.
