Chapter 2 The cat runs off, and I notice the man roll his eyes, though his expression was one of curiosity. The walked quietly for several moments. The still silence in the forest is unnerving, so, even though I loathe it, I try to strike up conversation. Any noise would be better than none at all. "Why would the paths be safe?"
