Recommended: The importance of effective interpersonal communication

My conversation with my domestic partner and I typically involve discussing our relationship or something that ultimately affects our relationship. Our communication is effective when we both are in agreement and is acknowledging the subject, time constraints and types of questions that we might ask. If the conversation occurs face to face, we take the time to listen to what one another is saying to insure that we are actively listening to each other so that we might give the proper response to one another. While doing this method of communication the temptation to interrupt each other and not allowing the other person to speak up as well to convey their thoughts is thought to be childish and inconsiderate.
