Working as an intern at the Southeast LAPD Division is very exciting and challenging. Any things can happen any moments. Irritate clients, unhappy and frustrated people. Heavy volume of calls and emergency responses, all was part of my experience. What we learn at school in regards to laws, regulation and criminal justice and policing technics are completely different in real World of law enforcement. It is mostly about the experience, training, technics and makes an immediate and best decision at the moment. During my intern hours, I worked with the detective and helped him to file and organize the cases and reports. I also assisted officers to input information into a database. Also, interns should know that during their interns, they are in silence interview and be observed by others and they should do their best , proactive and show their interest to learn. Before I start my intern, I knew only about the LAPD by what I read and heard. Now I have the better understanding of the LAPD, how the agency operates and also I know most of the employees. I have a better understanding about the LAPD Southeast Division now and by knowing them and environment, I can wisely make a decision if I consider in future to apply for the upcoming job opportunity with this division and am I going to be a good fit for the …show more content…

As it says in the same article the best part of the internship is that interns are not left alone by themselves. They have supports and mentors who guide them to be more compatible in the future. They give advice, suggestion and different sorts of ideas for planning and being successful.
