Selfless, compassionate, and unstoppable, these are just a few of several words that in my opinion believe are the most important characteristics a person can have, but how do integrity and civility fit into the picture? One day, for the first time ever, I was reading and I had come across two very distinct words, integrity and civility, they jumped out at me and in that moment I wondered to myself what do these words mean? Of course, as to not knowing what they meant and what their purpose was, I did some research. Now a days a physical dictionary is none existent, so I went online and what I had found was interesting, integrity has the definition of a person who is honest and truthful whereas civility is the action a person does to be polite and respectful. Continuing to reading, I had many questions on how society behaves. A few questions I had were, how do integrity and civility relate? What can these moralistic values change? And how can such small words be so important to how society revolutionizes itself?

Starting off, the existence of such ideas helps reinforce the actions of society. To clearly state, their are standards being portrayed, being reached, and being made by many. To not only be able to be driven to be good-mannered and hard-working can change someone’s life but also ultimately lead to someone’s happiness. Humanity has the opportunity to be kind and self-sufficient to lead to a more greater purpose such as to focus on future goals instead of being caught up with the ticking clock.
