There are many different types of cancer that are actually deadly or that can be cured if found quick enough. The first cancer I have come across is a cancer of the stomach called gastrointestinal stromal tumors. This type of cancer spreads through the inner part of the stomach and begins to transpire if it is not caught in enough time. My mother actually passed away from this cancerous stromal tumor. The symptoms are loss of weight, loss of appetite, nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain or discomfort. If caught in an earlier stage they can treat it with having resectable in which the process will take place to surgery to remove the tumors. The next treatments is unresectable meaning that the tumors cannot be surgically removed, metastic and recurrent which means that this treatment may have spread out through the abdominal and recurrent in which means it came back, and last but not least is refractory which means the tumors have not gotten better with the treatment. …show more content…
The symptoms of this cancer is hoarseness, feeling tired or weak, coughing up blood, and rust colored sputum. If this cancer is caught it can be cured by chemotherapy to photodynamic therapy, surgery, and radiation. Then there is leukemia and this cancer can be cured as well as long as it is caught and have the symptoms of fever or chills, persistent fatigue, weakness, swollen lymph nodes, and an enlarged liver. Treatments for leukemia include chemotherapy and corticosteroids. It can be cured because I have an uncle who’ve had leukemia and he was treated and he was fine after and was back to himself in no time by the doctors catching it right before it spread all the way throughout his bone

According to Cancer.org, cancer is the generic name for over a hundred diseases. There are cancers for literally every part of the body. Cancer starts by abnormal cells growing out of control. Usually, if the cancer is caught earlier in the stages, it is treatable and a person would have a good chance at surviving. Unfortunately, if the cancer is untreated for a longer duration of time, the survival rate dwindles. There are types of this abnormal cell growth that can be potentially more fatal than others. Not only are Americans suffering form Colon cancer, but everyone in the whole world as well. It is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in men and women combined in the US according to Colon Cancer Alliance. Just in the USA The American Cancer Society estimates 136,830 people will be diagnosed in 2014 and 50,310 will die from colon cancer in the United States. That is an unbelievable large amount of people dying because of this cancer. Colon cancer is also known as Colorectal cancer, this process occurs in the rectum/colon area. It starts in the large intestine, the lower part of your digestive system. Most of colon cancers develop first as colorectal polyps, which are abnormal growths inside the colon that can maybe turn cancerous.

The acute types of the disease are those that progress quickly and involve an overgrowth of very immature blood cells. To understand more about this disease I did a research on it, and according to the National Cancer Institute: “Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph system”. Also, there are more than 100 different types of cancer. Cancer is not a single disease, but a group of related diseases.
In most cases, cancer that has spread to the liver is not curable. However, the treatments mentioned above may help shrink tumors, develop life expectancy, and reduce symptoms. In a small number of cases, surgery to cut out the liver tumors may lead to a cure. This is usually only possible in patients with certain tumor types (for example, colorectal cancer), and when there are a limited number of tumors in the liver.
With numbers only rising in scales it is only right that a solution to this problem is found. As there may be already treatments for this type of cancer, the cancer might reappear after treatment, just as it happens with other cancers too. Procedures/Treatments for this disease include transplant, live donor liver transplant, chemotherapy, radio-frequency, chemoembolization, ethanol injection and more. These procedures all come with risks which are taken into consideration. All the while the cancer may reappear even after surgery as stated before, by then doctors would probably have the patient do a resection, which is a process in which part of the liver that is contaminated by the tumor/cancer is removed. There are three stages, chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Some people go through theses stages differently and some at different times. I'm going to tell you about chemo then radiation and surgery. This is not the necessary order that it will go in but it is a typical one. For chemo it all depends on what type of cancer, how aggressive, and where you are being treated.
