We’re going to be explaining the rules, player positions, and violations. Basketball is a team sport that involves of 5 players on the court. It’s played at every level from 5 & under to the professional athletes in the NBA and overseas. Every team is made up of virtually the same elements; the guards, big men and coaches. While trying to come up with a brilliant and fun game for these young men, Naismith reminisced back on his childhood in Canada. After a very short time of trying to make up a game for these young men, Naismith came up with a brilliant idea. Naismith’s idea pertained to nailing up raised boxes so that players could attempt to throw a ball in the basket. When there were no boxes too be found, he used peach baskets.
