The audience at the North American International Auto Show on Monday in Detroit stood speechless as Ford unveiled its newest GT, a carbon fiber supercar that boasts "race-proven" technology and sleek design.
In the company's effort to "redefine innovation in aerodynamics," it now offers the public its latest vehicle that prides itself to have the "most powerful EcoBoost production engine ever," as cited in Ford's press release.
"As we at Ford drive innovation into every part of our business, it's worth remembering that our first innovation as a company was not in a laboratory, but on the racetrack," announced Ford President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Fields, as he encouraged the audience to recall Henry Ford's victory in a 1901 car race that prompted financial backers and other businessmen to devote capital to his growing company. "We are passionate about innovation through performance and creating vehicles that make people's hearts pound," added Fields during his unveiling speech.

It also features a "rear-wheel drive, a mid-mounted engine, and a slee, aerodynamic, two-door coupe body shell." The makeup of the GT include lightweight materials, such as carbon fiber and aluminum. These materials will contribute to the superb acceleration capacity and upgraded handling of the vehicle.
"The GT is the ultimate execution of an enthusiast supercar," described Ford Group Vice President for Global Product Development Raj Nair. "GT includes innovations and technologies that can be applied broadly across Ford's future product portfolio - another proof point that Ford continues raising the performance bar while ultimately improving vehicles for all of our customers," he added.

An interesting president to evaluate, however, is Gerald Ford. He was not in office for very long but left still managed to leave a clear impact on the United States.
Gerald Ford was the 38th president of the United States of America. He became president right after Richard Nixon resigned in 1974. This was not an expected time to have a new president. Ford said, “I assume the Presidency under extraordinary circumstances … This is an hour of history that troubles our minds and hurts our hearts (thewhitehouse.gov pg. 1).” While Ford had not planned to be a president, he still did great tasks, served 25 years in Congress, and he did his best.
Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863, on a farm near Dearborn, Michigan. His only formal education was through fifth grade at the local schoolhouse, where he took an early interest in tinkering with steam engines. He left his family farm for Detroit at sixteen and became a mechanist apprentice. In 1888 he married Detroit local Clara Ala Bryant, and they had a child named Edsel. Ford briefly returned to farming to support his family. In 1891, Ford returned to Detroit and was hired as an engineer at the Edison Illuminating Company. The 1920’s was a time of great social, political, and economic change. The early automobile industry was no exclusion. It appears that throughout history, the figures that stand out the most are either worshipped or despised, and there is very rarely an in-between. Henry Ford, an icon of the 1920’s and the early automobile industry is no exemption. Many people love Ford for his innovative and entrepreneurial skills, while on the other hand, Ford is disliked by many due to his association with Anti-Semitism. Regardless of how Ford is viewed, many decisions he made significantly impacted the automobile industry. These decisions included installing the moving assembly line in his plant, and introducing the Five-Dollar Day. Through the implementation of the Five-Dollar Day, Ford was able to drastically change how the Ford Motor Company company operated, and how business would operate for years to come.
Henry Ford was a genius in many aspects of our everyday life. He changed industry, production, and everybody's lifestyle. Many people know about him inventing some of the first automobiles, but what came out of it for America was a new encouragement for technology and an easier lifestyle for the average American replacing the popular railroad system.

With his astounding work on transforming the automobile from just a simple invention into a great innovation that people to this day still buy and use, he shaped the twentieth century to a great extent. He was an American industrialist who founded the Ford Motor Company in the early nineteen hundreds. Ever since Ford was a young boy he has always seemed to have an interest in machines. He loved to tamper with machinery and other simple mechanisms. His first job was in a machine shop in Detroit which inspired him to experiment with machines and learn how they work. He learned to fix things like watches by trial-and-error and no matter what he did not give up when trying to learn how to fix things. He was one determined young man who worked hard and turned out to be a great leader with a very creative and imaginative mind. By teaching himself how to put a simple wrist watch together, he was able to use his newly found knowledge to move on to designing machines such as full sized steam engines. A few men who ran the steam engines helped to expand Ford’s knowledge of the engines by teaching him how they operated.
