The Life of Anne Frank
Anne frank was one of the many victims of the Holocaust. I will talk about her background, life in hiding, and arrest and deportation. First, I will talk about Anne Frank’s Background. Anne frank was a girl who was Jewish, she was born on June 12, 1929, In Frankfurt Germany On March 1, 1945 at Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp she died. The next thing is fleeing. When Hitler became leader of Germany, the family left Germany and moved to Amsterdam in Netherlands. They were amongst 300,000 Jews who escaped to Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1939. After some time, Anne and Margot were separated from their mother, who later died, and moved to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp where the conditions were even worse with lack of food and lack of clean facilities.
The Gestapo sent them to Westerbork on August 8. One month later, in September 1944, SS and police placed the Franks, and the four others hiding with them, on a train transport from Westerbork to the Auschwitz camp complex in German-occupied Poland.
Selected for labor due to their youth, Anne and her sister, Margot were moved to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp near Celle, in northern Germany, in late October 1944.
Both sisters died of (disease spread by insects) in March 1945, just a few weeks before British troops freed Bergen-Belsen on April 15, 1945. SS. The two helpers are sent to the Amersfoort camp.
