The Life of Anne Frank
Anne frank was one of the many victims of the Holocaust. I will talk about her background, life in hiding, and arrest and deportation. First, I will talk about Anne Frank’s Background. Anne frank was a girl who was Jewish, she was born on June 12, 1929, In Frankfurt Germany On March 1, 1945 at Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp she died. The next thing is fleeing. When Hitler became leader of Germany, the family left Germany and moved to Amsterdam in Netherlands. They were amongst 300,000 Jews who escaped to Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1939. After some time, Anne and Margot were separated from their mother, who later died, and moved to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp where the conditions were even worse with lack of food and lack of clean facilities.
The Gestapo sent them to Westerbork on August 8. One month later, in September 1944, SS and police placed the Franks, and the four others hiding with them, on a train transport from Westerbork to the Auschwitz camp complex in German-occupied Poland.
Selected for labor due to their youth, Anne and her sister, Margot were moved to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp near Celle, in northern Germany, in late October 1944.
Both sisters died of (disease spread by insects) in March 1945, just a few weeks before British troops freed Bergen-Belsen on April 15, 1945. SS. The two helpers are sent to the Amersfoort camp.
Johannes Kleiman is released shortly after his arrest and six months later Victor Kugler escapes.
Immediately after the arrests Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl rescue Anne's diary and papers that have been left behind in the secret building. even though there is the existence of intensive interagation it has never been clear how the hiding place was

Anne Frank was born in 1929 just at the beginning of turmoil in German society. At the beginning of her life, Frank’s family was a relatively normal German-Jewish family living just outside of Frankfurt. Her father, Otto Frank, was a business owner and her sister, Margot Frank, was three years older than her. They moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1933 because of the threat to their lives because of their Jewish Heritage.
Throughout the holocaust, many Jews survived by going into hiding to escape the harsh fates and realities that would otherwise await the opressed. The Diary of a Young Girl allows readers to witness and experience a small idea of what Jews in hiding during the holocaust suffered. Some may have lost one's life, but Otto Frank, Anne's Frank's father, survived the holocaust through hiding. The secret annex became the shelter for Otto Frank, his family, and several others Jews starting July sixth, 1942(www.annefrank.org). The annex provided a barrier from the Nazis and death camps for two years before the Gestapo discovered the Franks and others and sent the Jews to concentration camps for the remainder of the holocaust(www.ushmm.org). The others in hiding with Frank lost their lives, leaving Otto Frank the sole survivor from the secret annex. To survive mentally in times of darkness, one needs a helper to keep them safe. The Franks and Van Daans were hidden in the Secret Annex by Mr. Kraler and Miep. Since, the members of the Secret Annex could not provided food and supplies for themselves, Miep and Mr. Kraler provided supplies for them through illegal means. This shows that others are willing to endanger themselves to help others that are in need. She hid in a place called the “Secret Annex” Mr. Kraler was the man who let the Franks and Van Daans stay in his attic. In the Secret Annexe they were joined by the Van Daan family. There was Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan and their son Peter. Later, a eldery dentist, Alburt Dussel, was invited to share their refuge. The 8 Jews hid in the Secert Annexe for many years. Otto Frank's Dutch friends, brought them food and even gifts. The news in the fall of 1942 was terrifying for the Franks. The roundup of Jews from Holland was proceeding according to plan. While the Franks were in hiding, Germany was at the height of conquest.
Three weeks before they were found Anne wrote in her diary: “Day and night during every waking hour, I do nothing but ask myself, have you given him enough chance to be alone? Have you been spending too much time upstairs? Do you talk about serious subjects he’s not yet ready to talk about.?” (Frank 212) They were discovered after two years of hiding and were deported to concentration camps.

Felix Salingar from Then by Morris Gleitzman and Anne Frank both knew what it was like. Their stories both describe the lives of jewish children hiding from the Nazis, in fear of being taken and killed. Throughout both of their stories, many character traits were discovered about them that show how they are similarly affected by the events in their stories. Over the time of 25 months, Anne recorded her experiences while hiding from German troops. Her diary describes the fears and emotional conflicts of people crowded together in secrecy. The diary also had its good times apart from its bad such as funny and memorable moments. These include birthday celebrations and Anne’s first experience with falling in love.
II. Contrary to the light and amusing tone of the first few entries of Anne Frank, her revelation of her family background uncovers sneak-peeks to the Jewish life in the Second World War, including the restrictive laws implemented by the Nazis against the particular group of people. Prior to Anne’s first diary entry, the Franks, namely Otto, Edith, and their children, Anne and Margot, had emigrated to Holland from Germany to escape Hitler’s propaganda of Anti-Semitism. However, soon, they realized that they had not been liberated yet from the claws of discrimination when Anne’s elder sister, Margot, was summoned by the S.S., the elite Nazi guards, for a call-up, implying that she would be sent to a concentration camp.
