During the time of the Industrial Revolution(s), Europe was the most innovative and progressing continent with the rise of new forms of transportation and machinery. Without these many advancements to society, not only would the modern world cease to exist the way it does now, but so many machines and other inventions would cease to exist as well. The world rapidly began to improve and modernize products that could made in mass production faster and cheaper, which meant consumer goods were not only for the upper class anymore. However with all the wonders of this revolution, were dangerous consequences. With the rise of factories, the mass amounts of pollution and lack of proper sanitation caused trouble in cities. People were free to go from place to place easier and faster, which also helped with the many people who ended up migrate to the cities to look for work. This is vital for so many of whom who lived in rural areas, because it also gave access to more trade options as well. Trains were the best mode of transportation possible at the time; faster than by sea or foot, and it could carry larger loads than a carriage.
