There are many different authors in this world. All authors have different writing styles. Jack London writes stories about his experiences in the Yukon. London describes the bitter cold and how difficult it is to live in the Yukon. London used a vivid style, movement of literature, and thematic meaning.
Jack London was born on January 12,1876 in San Francisco, California. He grew up in a working class his whole childhood. London rode trains, pirated oysters, shoveled coal, worked on a sealing ship on the Pacific Ocean, and found employment in a cannery. When London was about 22 years old he went to the Yukon which gave him things to write about. London found his fame and fortune by age 27 with his novel "The Call of the wild". Determinism is a type of literature. Unlike the other people who lived in the Yukon, their life experiences did not prepare them for what they would have to face. In " Love Of Life" and " To Build A Fire" London shows realism in the way that both of these men are stranded alone in the Yukon, the two men have little food and are under freezing temperatures. Not only can this happen in real life, but it does happen in real life especially in the bitter cold Yukon. Naturalism is individuals do not have free will. In "Love of Life" the guy did not have any food to eat and he was really hungry, so the man ate four chicks. In "To Build a Fire" the mans feet were cold because he didn't wear the right kind of shoes, so then the man build a fire to try to warm his feet up. Regionalism is the tendency by certain authors to write about specific geographical areas. In both stories he likes to write about the harsh weather conditions during the gold rush
