Abstract- The power of women is commendable and their contribution to the growth of society is inevitable. Empowered women can contribute to the health and productivity of families and communities. Empowering women by women is the basic idea that is followed. Various activities were conducted for women and girls in rural areas in order to enhance their capability. Women engineer students have taken measures to help women from rural regions in identifying their potential. Women who underwent the programme have upgraded in their life and inspire other women. The college has an in-built ‘Women Empowerment Cell’ and ‘Women in Engineering’ association to help women to achieve greater heights. The college has always been a guiding light in all possible ways and has been encouraging women who has willingness towards achieving their goal. Lack of education is no hitch in the path of excellence, and so the women in around the college premises are encouraged to participate in the various programmes conducted for their welfare. Students and staff members are assisted in overcoming their reluctance and face the society bravely through activities offered by the institution. Staff members and students are active members of these associations. Office bearers are elected from staff as well as students and act as the representatives of the women participants. WIE joined hands with Professional Societies such as ISTE, CSI, etc., and successfully offered technical seminars, workshops, and conferences.
