The functions of student services vary according to the university practice. Few examples of its services include assisting students in developing educational plans that are consistent with their life goals, to assist students in overcoming educational and personal problems and to increase student retention by providing a personal contact that students often need and request, thereby connecting them to the institution. Students’ needs and wants are dynamic and changing in nature. Previously, methods of delivering higher education academic degrees are primarily comprised of the classroom instructional model or approach. Now, there is increasing evidence that higher education must also address the basic personal needs of students by providing a comprehensive set of out-of-classroom student services and programs which also referred as student affairs or student services (UNESCO,2002).
2.2.1 Student Club
Through student activities, students are involved in extracurricular activities which enhance the development of leadership and interpersonal skills. PPA COLGIS encouraged students to involve in the extensive and varied activities available to them to stimulate their interest and interpersonal communication.
