Learning is the act of acquiring new, or adapting and strengthening, existing knowledge, behaviors, skills, abilities, values, or feelings and may involve creating different types of information. The ability to learn is influenced by humans, animals, plants and some machines. Development over time tends to follow learning camber. It does not happen all at once, but builds upon and is shaped by previous knowledge. To that end, learning may be viewed as a process, rather than a collection of truthful and technical knowledge (Wikipedia.com). Some of the fresh graduates are saying it’s true. In instance, they graduated in BSIE major in Electronics but they are teaching cosmetology after they graduated. What we learn in our lives changes who we are as a person. It also influences the decisions that we make and controls our interests. What we learn determines how our life will turn out and what paths we will take in our future. A great example of this is in Dr Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” when the Grinch learns that Christmas is not just about the presents and decorations and that it is a time of happiness and generosity, he decides to turn from bad to good for the rest of his life. When one chooses to learn new things, then one is open to many new ideas for the future because every time we make a choice in life, it is based on what we have learned.
The world is made up of very unique people with diverse cultures and personalities. Which proves that everyone is going to learn in various ways, for example there is visual learners who excel in hands on learning. But then there are the bookworms, who love to read and are good at processing information from textbooks and notes. The list could go on and on, by ways people chose to learn. Learning does not come easy to everyone though, much time is needed to be put in for a successful outcome.

Having students teach each other is a way to promote a deeper learning of the content. Teaching to others promotes independence and confidence. This activity also improves the student’s public speaking skills. It also is a good stepping stone to the necessary presentations and performance assessments. This standard requires a teacher to really understand his/her students especially through the ways they grow and develop. It is important for them to understand that every student is different and therefore, will learn in their own ways. The teacher then learns to meet the needs of all students specifically by creating learning experiences for all to comprehend. I will try to prepare my lesson 100% to enhance learning. I will try to research my topic and try to integrate different resources and activities to make my lesson engaging and interesting to my students. I am able to use a variety of methods to teach a lesson to the students. This helps the students to get engaged visually, physically and verbally. I did not know, but I really like to use different resources and art materials to create something that will enhance my lesson and able to engage my students throughout the lesson. By creating and using a variety of methods and activities during the center time, I can meet the student’s needs to help them to learn.

Through classroom observation I was exposed to the different methods of teaching a lesson. The methods of teaching depends on how will the teacher execute the lesson well. I learned that modern learners today needs both modern and traditional way of teaching as for them to fully learned the lesson in a meaningful way.
