The word Immigration by definition means "The action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country". To some people, they hear the word immigration and they act like Donald Trump (not wanting immigrants in this country at all!), some (rational) people stand on immigration, and the other people may not be educated enough about the situation so they don’t have an opinion. Some people feel they don’t have an opinion, or they don’t think immigration really affects their life that much. The truth is immigration DOES have an effect on everyone’s life. Whenever you hear someone arguing that immigration is destroying the US economy the first idea that they will get into your head is that immigrants are taking american jobs. That's false, when people talk about immigrants taking our jobs from americans what they don’t understand is they make more jobs available by increasing the number of firms that their are because the immigrants are helping that firm grow! It’s believed statistically that immigrants complement american workers rather than replace them. Many american’s argue that these immigrants are ruining wages for them when statistically speaking it only affects the american people that don’t have a high school degree. Immigrants are said to be one of the most talented people because of what jobs they are able to do. A study was done in 2011 of the top fifty venture capital funded companies and found that HALF had at least one immigrant founder and three quarters had immigrants in top management or research positions (The effects of Immigration on the United States …show more content…

Economic growth in the US would improve the quality of life for american people. Immigration can lead to the economic growth for the US and here’s how, according to Center for Latin American Studies University of California, Berkeley, Capital per worker was higher when immigration was at it’s peak in 2007 than it was in 1990 before the immigration boom began. To break down capital per worker for you; in economic terms a capital is anything made by humans that can be sold to consumers, so when people talk about the quality of capital per worker they’re looking at how a new certain capital has made an affect on the economy, may be good or bad. So by these immigrants getting jobs they’re setting up for the firm to get ‘bigger’ per say, which in the long run will make MORE jobs and more opportunities for everyone
