Immigrants and green card renewals
Immigrants are allowed to come to America, but they must have a green card or visa so they can be here legally. Most immigrants that come to America had horrible lives in their home land. This is why the immigrants need green cards so they can be safe. America should renew green cards for immigrants if they truly want to be in America because they can help the economy in the long run, and enjoy life and their dreams can come true.
To the Contrary of some people's thinking, Most immigrants can actually help the economy in the long run. According to The Penn Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, in the article “The Effects of Immigration on the United States’ Economy”, it is written that “The available evidence suggests that immigration leads to more innovation a better educated workforce,greater occupational specialization, better matching of skills with jobs, and higher overall economic productivity.” My assumption of this

They fight to be safe. One big sign as if they really are genuine about being here,is when they fight to get legal in America, they won't falsify any documents, they won't take any loop holes. In the article “My Long, Unfinished Path to Becoming an American Citizen” by Mohammed Naseehu Ali, He writes “...I flatly refused to falsify documents and take advantage.” This proves that he truly wants to be here,and this also show most immigrants do not falsify their identity to be in America. This is also when the green card truly comes in, Mohammed's green card was about to expire and he was waiting to get fully legal, he was afraid he would be kicked out. Living in between cultures is something that I have had to struggle with, for much of my life. As a second generation immigrant, I have found myself negotiating between two cultural identities. On one end I identify as an American, and on the other as a Latina who is Nicaraguan and Dominican. Throughout my life my identity has come under attack from both sides. I have been called too American by my immigrant family while also being called too Latina by peers and academia. As a first generation college student and second generation immigrant, I have faced the stressors of living in between cultures. I have received both acceptance and rejection, as well as experienced stress relating to my mother’s status in this country and my responsibility to help her navigate daily activities.

The promise of America is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That promise, unless one was a white male, was often not fully available or available for many people. By 1900 there were still many things in the way of people having full access to the promise of America with problems related to suffrage, racial divisions and prejudice, the ignorance of poverty, and non-European immigrant bias.
The economy more often than not, is positively affected by immigration. Many of supposed negative impacts immigration has on the economy has been proven to be major falsities in a series of instances and have actually shown to have been major economic benefactors that should be applauded rather than criticized. As stated previously, some of the fallacies people have been led to believe concerning immigration and its negative effects on the United States economy, is erroneous. Yes, there are a few dispositions that may arise from immigration, but they are minimal, and many of claims that have been made are circumstances hardly seen in the economy. On top of that, some of the concomitant effects carried by these immigrants are not accurate. An example of inaccurate claim would be that immigrants steal the jobs of native born citizens, when studies and an abundant amount of research have shown that immigrants have not taken away any jobs from the native born people, but if not they have expanded the economy and its workforce and have even presented more job opportunities to the people in the United States. Immigration is nothing but good for the United States, immigrants do not come to just take away from us, they come and also provide for this country. They are hard workers looking to succeed in any field of work as long as they are earning money and helping out. They are investing the money they earn here in the U.S, most of their money comes back to the U.S economy. High skilled immigrants are more likely to pay for more taxes than they use in public services. Immigrants do pay and taxes, and not all use government services. For centuries, migrating has been a life changing decision for people that choose to enter the United States in search of a better future. Therefore, immigration is the permanent residency of people that choose to move to a new country. There are debates concerning the immigrants who enter the United Stated illegally and as the daughter of immigrant parents, I am fortunate to be born in this country.
Immigration law is a very interesting area of the law in which one has the wonderful opportunity to help people in great need. In the United States, immigration law refers to the different governmental policies that control foreign immigration to the country. Also, immigration law governs the legal status of people already in the country in matters such as citizenship and permanent residency. The United States maintains strict immigration laws; these laws regulate both the right of entry and internal rights of a foreigner. These rights can involve the duration of stay and the right to participate in government. Additionally, the United States has laws that allow for a naturalization process to take place by which immigrants may become U.S. citizens.
Immigration should be widely accepted rather than looked at as a problem. Economically, immigrants greatly boost the economy by providing new job opportunities, more money to companies, and reducing the unemployment rate. A large influx of immigrants will help many companies because of supply and demand, more people equals more needs to be provided. With the average immigrant worker working at lower wages, immigrants reduce the amount of money a company loses when paying their employees.
In some ways illegal immigrants do contribute to the economy. They generate extra income for our economy but do lower some wages (Hanson). Illegal immigrants generate extra income because their labor increase brings an increase in output which leads to more income for U.S. businesses (Hanson). (par.)Another positive illegals bring is that they allow the economy to use domestic resources more efficiently. Highly skilled immigrants have a positive net tax contribution and increase a business’s productivity. Illegal immigrants also hold jobs that would be undesirable and that most people wouldn’t want to work these jobs. Another thing to consider is that if all the illegal immigrants jobs were taken away “not all jobs would be taken by natives some would be automated or outsourced.” (Ruark)
Immigration has always been a large conflict people have faced all across the world. There are plenty of reasons why people migrate to a country, whether it may be the United States or any other particular one. Many people often come in an attempt to escape poverty, crime, or to simply have a better opportunity to better their lifestyle. Although there are people who migrate and commit severe crimes, there are others who sacrifice themselves in order to live a better life. In addition to that, I believe the government should approve new immigration laws in favor of immigrants who come to better their life and achieve their dreams.
