Recommended: Impact road rage has on communities

If you have ever been on the road you may notice the types of drivers that are on the road. When I first got my license, my eyes were open to the types of drivers on the road. I have identified these types of drivers and have I group them into crazy drivers, normal drivers, fast drivers, slow drivers, and people who can't drive that well.
The first type, crazy drivers which are also known as road rage drivers these people are usually very confrontational. They will get out of their cars and try to approach you directly. Now with my experience with these types of drivers I believe they are truly crazy. One word I can associate with crazy driver’s is aggressive. They fly at top speeds. They always need to get in front of other drivers. They have a constant need to accelerate when someone tries to overtake them or closing the gap to prevent anyone from getting in front of them. Usually fast drivers always seem to be in a rush or are late to somewhere. Also, they are very prone to get tickets and violate traffic laws.
Another, type of driver is the slow drivers/ drivers who can’t drive. consist of inexperienced, young, old, can’t see that good people. Also, these types of drivers can be very distracted drivers. They like to listen to music or talks on the phone while behind the wheel. There is also many at distractions such as using your cell phone, eating, doing makeup, etc. people who can’t drive just seem to be so unsure in every move they make on the road, these unsafe maneuvers can be very hazardous to other drivers on the road.
Finally, we have the average drivers, usually the best ones out of the types of drivers. They usually obey the speed limit & traffic laws. They either have this mindset of know it all on the road or they don’t let the bad drivers habit effect or simply just ignore it. They aren’t very reactive when someone does something to them on the road. But the thing about them is that they have ability to turn into any other type of driver if they are put in the right

Approximately 6,800,000 crashes occur in the United States each year; a substantial number are estimated to be caused by aggressive driving. 1997 statistics compiled by NHTSA and the American Automobile Association show that almost 13,000 people have been injured or killed since 1990 in crashes caused by aggressive driving. According to a NHTSA survey, more than 60 percent of drivers consider unsafe driving by others, including speeding, a major personal threat to themselves and their families. About 30 percent of respondents said they felt their safety was threatened in the last month, while 67 percent felt this threat during the last year. Weaving, tailgating, distracted drivers, and unsafe lane changes were some of the unsafe behaviors identified. Aggressive drivers are more likely to drink and drive or drive unbelted. Aggressive driving can easily escalate into an incident of road rage. Motorists in all 50 states have killed or injured other motorists for seemingly trivial reasons. Motorists should keep their cool in traffic, be patient and courteous to other drivers, and correct unsafe driving habits that are likely to endanger, antagonize or provoke other motorists. More than half of those surveyed by NHTSA admitted to driving aggressively on occasion. Only 14 percent felt it was "extremely dangerous" to drive 10 miles per hour over the speed limit. 62 percent of those who frequently drive in an unsafe and illegal manner said police for traffic reasons had not stopped them in the past year. The majority of those in the NHTSA survey (52 percent) said it was "very important" to do something about speeding. Ninety-eight percent of respondents thought it "important" that something be done to reduce speeding and unsafe driving.
