Next thing I knew I was literally soaring off the edge. Sliding down the hill head first, what a rush. Not knowing when I would stop or if I would ever get back on my feet. I see pure pain in my path and feel like just giving up.While sliding, I began to spin myself around with my feet facing down the hill. As I begin to plant my ski boots into the ground, I immediately realize that that was a bad idea. Before I can even blink, I flip through the air like a gymnast, except not as graceful, and feel my chin smack the snow. Luckily my face had stopped me from sliding. As I pick myself up and start brushing snow off of every part of my body, I realize that I am at the bottom the hill, nowhere near the finish, with no skis, and no ambition. …show more content…

Throughout the months of February and March, I had ripped, snapped, scratched, and jacked multiple pairs of slalom skis. First, the snow was deep, then it was shallow, and the rock that I didn’t see took a hefty gash out of my ski. Second, I ruptured the organs of my ski from tip to toe. Third, during practice, it felt like a cactus had drive up my heel and shin. Looking down, I thought that my ski would be gone but nope, I had just cracked the binding.
