It did achieve the world its goals because after the war people become conscious of how big is the British’s’ love towards their country because many men were willing to die for their country, and in the case of women, they postponed their suffrage movement in order to support the government and its war effort (an action that was really appreciated by the government), and they did difficult jobs that the government require them to do it while men were combating. That is why the government thought that every single Britain should get their right to vote in their country, because they love their country and they should be able to be represent it. That is why over time, women over 21 years old were eventually given their right to vote. Also, women felt that they were able to do all the things that society told them that they could not do because they were women, this made them feel empowered and have self-confidence. Which created lot of changes in society such as: • The women suffrage movement brought higher expectation of women. • Women aspire to become lawyers, doctors, businessman, entrepreneurs etc. (male dominant profession). Therefore, the number of women going to college increased tremendously. • Women's salaries increased but it isn’t as high as the salary men received. • Women became involved in politics. In fact, in the UK the 1928 Act made the electoral roll be made by five million more women and it made women a majority, of the electorate in the 1929 general election. • It made society aware of its discrimination towards women and people with lack of resources. Therefore, the Women suffrage movement helped women to secure their place among the world not only in the UK, but in the entire world. But that was only the beginning because until now there isn’t a complete acceptance of women in the world.  What were its short and long-term achievements?
