Making a pizza cannot be as difficult as people may think. However, making pizzas requires a science. This process takes place in a restaurant and these items are made in huge quantities. After reading this, you should be able to make your own pizza without any trouble and become a pizza master.
The foundation of the pizza starts here. The crust is the most important part of the pizza. The crust determines what the pizza could become and the creativity behind it. It could take shape of a deep dish, thin or thick, or gluten free. To complete the first step, you need to have all of the ingredients: flour, sugar, warm water, oil, and yeast. These roller machines can be found in restaurants and has a purpose of rolling out pizza dough. This machine has two parts. The top rollers will compress the dough while the bottom rollers will stretch the dough out. Put the flattened dough ball into the top of the dough roller. The dough should come out looking like a pancake with air bubbles. After it comes out, add more flour on both sides and put it through the bottom roller. The dough should now be very smooth and flat. The size of the dough should cover an area of 20 inches by 24 inches and have the color of a dirty yellow. Lay the dough on the flat surface. Next, take a fork and poke tiny holes in the dough. The holes should cover the entire area of the pizza and look sparse. This will help the dough cook all the way through. Then, take the pan that you are going to use and check to see if the dough is the right size. If the dough fits the pan or you see it hanging over the edge, then you did the rolling out process right. If not, you will have to start back over and begin with the dough ball. You can first start at the the easiest pizza to make which is a single topping pizza. This pizza would be a pepperoni pizza, but if you feel comfortable, you can add more pepperonis on top to make the pizza more extravagant. To start off the pizza, you have to have the dough already rolled out, which was explained earlier. Next, take a huge spoonful of sauce which should equal to about one-third cup, and spread around the crust in a circular motion. You want to have an even layer of sauce around the pizza. You also need to watch out so that the sauce reaches the edges but leaves about a one-half inch ring around the crust. This one-half inch ring should not have any crust. Once you have the sauce evenly on the pizza, you can now put on the toppings. For this pepperoni pizza, you will need to put on the pepperonis in a circular fashion. You want to place each pre-cut pepperoni slice, starting at the top, on the sauce. You want about a one-half inch gap between each slice. As you are placing the pepperonis, you will notice that it only takes about ten to twenty slices for the first round.
