Water Quality is a way used to measure the quality of water in an area based on sampling. The water quality in the UHS creek was excellent. Humans can negatively impact water quality by dumping waste from factories in to rivers. As many industries are located along rivers, it makes them a convenient place for them to dump their waste, polluting the water. Another way humans can effect water quality is from storm water runoff. When it rains, the water travels down into ditches which can lead to streams, and on the way down the water picks up harmful chemicals in our cities that make their way into food chains.
