Sweden Sweden is in the northern part of Europe. It is next to Norway, Finland and Denmark. Even though Finland is next to Sweden Swedish and Finnish are not similar languages. Danish, Norwegian and Swedish are very similar. I will tell you Sweden's history from 1200-1600. Sweden has a very long history it goes back to the Vikings. In 1523 the King Gustav I died , Gustav Vasa took over and was King from 1523-60. In 1280 it was King Magnus who ruled then from 1250 to it was King Valdemar. In 1388 the Sweden started rebelling against the King. The Sweds called in the queen of Norway came and her army captured the King and defeated him. The second largest religion in sweden is Islam almost 5% of the people practice it. Sweden is religious they have the Christianity cross on their flag. Even though Sweden has a cross on the flag only half on the population are religious. Some of the Swedish population are atheist but some are also very religious. Sweden has changed a lot as a country it has very many changes just as any other country.
