My favorite quote by Poe is “Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.” As Poe once said Edgar Allan Poe poems based on the raven and the bells being dark and mysterious. The raven based off his love such as lonore as someone taps on his chamber door nothing appears, hoping it would be lenore or at least hear from her at the end of the story. He wrote a very famous poem you may know of as called The raven, which is most likely his most famous poem yet tons of people love it. The raven was about his sorrow and death over Lenore (price). A bird barges into his house repeating the words ´nevermore´. The raven in the story represents grief caused by loneliness and separation caused by Lenore (Price). The raven represents evil and death (price). When poe was writing this instead of a raven he was at a friends house and he thought it would speak. Once he wrote the poem “The bells” he said he could hear bells ringing from his cottage (Kinsella). That's how ha got inspired once his wife died. Once he was writing that he came up with the word ¨tintinnabulation” to describe the bells (Seidel). This poem was not published until after his death. The poem the bells are about hearing all the different types of bells like brass and silver. Happy or sad bells all the different types of bells that matches his moods. One minute it can be happy like wedding bells the next can be sad and depressing like funeral
