This is the study of reactions to foods. Does age, gender, and heart rate affect the way people react to foods? Many different people have the same food, but taste things a bit different than others. It shows how certain foods can affect one's body. Allergy doctors might find this important for any patients they might have. There’s a part of your brain that connects to the mouth, to the tongue. That’s where the reactions start. The brain processes the food and starts the reaction, there it sends a signal to the mouth. Thats the moment when one would either spit it out or eat more. Almost all of people’s heart rate and blood pressure go up when they have sugar. When most people have anything healthy like, apples, celery, or carrots their blood pressure is normal, as well as their heart rate. Taste buds are not just one big taste bud connected together. There are veins and nerves that connect the tongue and the brain. The nerves and veins inside your tongue go down one's throat and up through the body to the brain, where the brain processes the food and its taste. There are three main taste nerves that go into your brain. Eventually they combine their signals into one and goes into the brainstem. The nerves and veins that connect the tongue and the brain are very important, if they weren't there no signal would reach the brain and you wouldn't be able to process the taste of food. Without basic information it would be harder to conduct the test and to study this project. The basic information explains why gender doesn’t affect anything.
