The Forbidden City is it is not only famous for it building itself. It is famous for it’s architecture !It was build symmetrically along a central north-south axis, which is also the axis of the old Beijing City. The Forbidden City was built during the early Ming dynasty,by the third emperor Zhu-Di. The emperor wanted to build the palace right in the middle of China,Beijing. *The most important halls that were in there were made out of whole logs of a precious type of wood called Phoebe zhennan (楠木)Unfortunately the pillars that were seen today are made out of pine wood.The floors of the major halls were made out of blocks of gold,and came from seven counties,each batch took months to bake!
